Client Service Specialist
As a Client Service Specialist, Maria Gutierrez is dedicated to meeting our clients' needs promptly and efficiently. Among her responsibilities, she sets up appointments, manages financial transactions on the Schwab platform, and coordinates client communications.
In her native Colombia, Maria worked in creditor services for five years, analyzing risk and deciding on credit line approvals. She also volunteered with the Gwinnett school system in Georgia, helping students improve their English skills and bridging the communication gap between Spanish-speaking parents and children and the school’s teachers and administrators.
Maria joined Northstar Financial Planners in 2024. She thrives on building personal connections, doing her part to make sure every client feels heard and cared for.

Maria once taught 16 different classes as a Spanish teacher in a preschool in Suwanee, Georgia.
She enjoys spending quality time with her husband, participating in activities like cooking, biking, and dancing.
